MeetCindy Woods

Cindy believes that her work hours are whatever her clients makes them. She’s even done a loan preapproval on New Year’s Eve! Cindy has worked in every part of the loan process, so you can be sure you’re being led by an expert. Because of her past processing and underwriting positions, she makes sure everything’s in ship-shape upfront before she gives the buyer the okay to make an offer so there’s no surprises down the line. Referred to by some in the past as a loan miracle worker, she has had people come up to her years later to thank her for saving their loan.

When she has the time, Cindy loves to entertain friends and family with her husband; some of those friends actually starting out as one of her clients. She also loves to travel the world now that her children are grown up. Just recently, she and her husband, Harry, went on her childhood  dream trip to South Africa, going on safari in Zimbabwe and Botswana. We’re officially jealous.

Q: What does your dream home look like?

A: Oh, my dream home is the home I live in now! We built it 15 years ago on 20 acres in the country and  I love country living. At night you feel like you own those awesome beautiful stars above your backyard! It’s my favorite spot for R&R!

Q: What are some of your favorite places in Peoria?

A: Events on the riverfront! The Caterpillar Center, which is a great museum for the children, Grandview Drive, which is one of our state’s most beautiful drives looking over the bluffs and the river, or to see it from below, get on the Spirit of Peoria and take a river cruise!

Q: What was one of your first jobs?

A: Besides babysitting at 11, my first W-2 “job” was de-tasseling at 14. I was raised in a large Catholic family of seven children and money was tight, so if I wanted my own things I needed a job doing something so I babysat as early as I could!
